A construction company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Traffic Marshall to oversee the safe movement of vehicles on-site. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Traffic Marshall ticket and CSCS card, with prior experience in similar roles. Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset are essential. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while ensuring a safe environment on-site.
Direct and guide vehicles, plant, and delivery trucks safely around the construction site
Use recognized hand signals or two-way radios to communicate with drivers and machine operators
Coordinate with site managers, crane operators, and logistics teams to schedule deliveries
Maintain clear vehicle access and pedestrian walkways
Monitor traffic flow and enforce one-way systems or restricted zones as required
Ensure all vehicles are properly escorted to and from loading/unloading zones
Check delivery documentation and guide suppliers to designated drop-off points
Report any safety issues, near misses, or breaches of site traffic management rules
Assist in site safety inspections and general support duties as needed
Valid Traffic Marshall / Banksman ticket (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, or recognised training body)
CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
Prior experience as a Traffic Marshall on construction sites
Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
Ability to stay alert, calm, and assertive under pressure
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
