General hours of work are 40 hours per week with overtime opportunity. Hours and shift patterns tend to fall on days, Monday to Friday. However, you may occasionally be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

About Us:

Chevron Traffic Management is a leading provider of Traffic Management solutions across the UK. As we expand our Urban Solutions Division, we are launching a new depot in Salford to support our growing operations in the region.

We are looking for Traffic Management Trainees to build our workforce and deliver our works.

Responsibilities of a Traffic Management Trainee:

The Traffic Management Trainee plays a central role in our operations and will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking traffic counts, communicating with clients and subcontractors, managing timings and near misses
  • Maintenance of temporary traffic lights
  • Delivery and collection of Urban rental products
  • Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other items
  • Assisting and guiding new trainees once qualified

What Good Looks Like for a Traffic Management Operative Trainee:

  • Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have been expired for at least 5 years
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test (your offer will depend on the outcome of this)
  • Positive “can-do” attitude
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Meticulous attention to detail
