General hours are 40 per week with overtime opportunities. Hours typically fall on days, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings, nights, and weekends.

About Chevron Traffic Management

Chevron Traffic Management provides Traffic Management solutions across the UK. We are expanding our Urban Solutions Division with a new depot in Beccles, Suffolk, to support regional growth. We are hiring Traffic Management Trainees to join our team.

Responsibilities of a Traffic Management Trainee

The Trainee plays a central role in our operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting traffic counts, liaising with clients and subcontractors, recording timings and near misses
  • Maintaining temporary traffic lights
  • Delivering and collecting Urban rental products
  • Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and others
  • Guiding and assisting new trainees once qualified

  • Full driving license with no more than 6 points; bans must be expired for at least 5 years
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Positive attitude and adaptability
  • Attention to detail
