Job summary

VolkerHighways is seeking a Trainee Operative to join our Traffic Management team at the Brentwood Depot. You will work with direct labour and sub-contract teams, operating traffic lights and plant where certificated, and support various Traffic Management tasks as part of a busy operations environment.

Ideal candidates have highways or reactive maintenance experience, strong communication, and enjoy outdoor work. NHSS 12D M1/2 and NHSS 12 A/B certifications are required for this role.

Qualifications

• NHSS 12D M1/2 certification is required.
• NHSS 12 A/B certification is required.
• Previous highways or reactive maintenance experience.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Enjoys working outdoors and outdoors environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Traffic Lights and related plant when trained and certificated.
• Collaborate with direct labour and sub-contract labour to meet targets.
• Assist with various aspects of Traffic Management as required.
• Ensure work is carried out to time and quality standards.
