Job Description

Reporting to the Traffic Management Supervisor, the Traffic Management Operative will deploy Traffic Signals on planned and reactive Traffic Projects and assist in the execution of Permanent Traffic Signal Works, ensuring safety and efficiency.

This role is essential for managing traffic flow and pedestrian safety in urban environments around Walsall and nearby areas.

What you’ll do

• Conduct safety checks of equipment
• Perform battery swaps
• Deploy traffic management for planned and reactive projects
• Assist installation and engineering teams onsite
• Ensure compliance with site specifications and maintain high standards
• Prepare equipment for works
• Adhere to health and safety procedures to minimize hazards

Who you are

Experienced in Traffic Management with relevant qualifications, positive, proactive, flexible to travel within the region, and available for occasional night work.

Key Requirements

• Valid and clean driving license
• NHSS 12D M1,2 & 5 qualifications
• Experience working on highways or urban roads
• Good communication skills
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Resilient under pressure
