Job summary

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a dedicated Traffic Management Operative to join our Cheshire East highways team. You will install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management to support maintenance, repairs and improvements across the Cheshire East network.

Ideal candidates will have NHSS 12A/12B qualifications, a valid UK driving licence and strong health and safety awareness. The role involves outdoor work, risk assessments and working with a professional operations team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and ability to drive to sites.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental good practices.
• Ability to carry out basic risk assessments and work safely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management on highways and local networks.
• Set out cones, signs, barriers, frames and other traffic management equipment.
• Install and operate temporary traffic signals and multi-phase setups.
• Complete operational checklists and safety records for assets.
• Ensure activities comply with legislation and industry standards.
• Report hazards, incidents and equipment issues promptly.
