Description

As an experienced Traffic Management Operative, you will be responsible for implementing Traffic Management Schemes across various projects. Your role is to ensure smooth and efficient operations to maximize daily productivity while maintaining high Health and Safety standards. Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the work, including working days, nights, and some weekends. A proactive and responsible attitude is required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all traffic management methods including Give and Take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, portable traffic signals, convoy working, road closures, lane closures, and diversions.
  2. Ensure all work complies with safe working practices and best practice procedures.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for traffic management activities.
  4. Follow established procedures, identify areas for improvement, and report to your line manager.
  5. Perform daily vehicle checks to maintain cleanliness, safety, and tidiness of the vehicle.
  6. Promote a positive company image through appropriate attire, attitude, and site cleanliness.
  7. Show initiative by seeking continuous improvements.
  8. Assist the public by directing them safely through site lines when necessary.
  9. Recognize when management intervention is needed.
Experience and Qualifications
  1. Lantra 12d accreditation (TTMBC, M1-M5) as a minimum.
  2. Lantra 12a/b accreditation, IPV driver, and foreman experience are advantageous.
  3. Understanding of Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (red book) regulations.
  4. Valid UK driving license.
  5. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings related to work tasks.
  6. Mechanical skills related to traffic lights are preferable.
