Traffic Management Operative
£12.21 to £13.71 per hour
Horsham

Hours: 07:30 - 17:00
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Pay: £12.21 - £13.71 plus van and fuel card, bonus & standby
Overtime: Paid after 9 hours Mon-Fri. Sat, Sun & callout are all paid at overtime rate

The Role

You may have seen our traffic management work, where our safety-conscious operatives help ensure safe travel through temporary roadworks. Your responsibilities will include delivering, installing, collecting, exchanging, and maintaining temporary traffic equipment such as traffic lights, signage, frames, sandbags, and cones.

Activities Involved
  • Checking equipment and systems for proper operation
  • Recording damages
  • Maintaining battery banks
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Managing checklists
  • Completing timesheets and risk assessments
  • Maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Keeping the yard safe, tidy, and clean
Candidate Requirements

A valid UK driving licence is essential, along with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. Working on highways requires a safety-first approach—no risks or shortcuts. Experience in a similar or safety-critical environment is beneficial.
