The Traffic Dispatcher will manage the daily operations of the Depot by allocating and routing vehicles to ensure top-quality service delivery to customers, maintaining health & safety standards, and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance. The role also involves supporting employee engagement, continuous improvement in productivity, and quality of service.

• Managing route efficiency and utilizing optimal disposal outlets within the area to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities.
• Managing driver availability and coverage in accordance with legislation and company procedures to ensure consistent coverage.
• Performing administrative duties, including inputting pay and bonuses into company systems, and accurately recording disposal information.
• Proactively managing vehicles, liaising with the fleet team, ensuring safe vehicle operations, wheel security, and monitoring vehicle gross weights.
• Supervising daily vehicle availability and ensuring drivers complete their checks as per company policy.
• Contributing to ongoing cost control by seeking efficiency improvements and reducing operating costs, e.g., analyzing depot reports.
• Completing all administrative tasks related to the Dispatch office, including timesheets, tachograph records, payroll, holiday rotas, and resolving QLS issues.
• Working with the Depot Manager to deliver mandatory training, inductions, and toolbox talks in line with company policies.
