Trading Underwriter- Property & Liability

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Underwriting experience in Property & Liability or someone with an insurance background looking to get your foot in the door into the world of Underwriting.
The Trading Underwriter will strive to provide excellent customer service at any opportunity. You will understand what matters to the customer/broker and how that fits with Aviva’s plans and strategies.
A bit about the job:
You will be responsible for underwriting profitable business whilst operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels. You will also develop, build and strengthen relationships with aligned customers/brokers, providing technical support and assistance and dealing with all queries.
You will use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer and work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate more technical and complex risks.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Knowledge of insurance product features & processes (Preferred)
Knowledge of underwriting –Property & Liability (Preferred, but not essential)
Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
