Job summary

Ips Group is seeking a confident, commercially minded Trading Underwriter based near Basildon to underwrite home business across multi-product channels, including e-trade, sub-coverholders and open market brokers. You will underwrite renewals within authority levels, driving conversion and retention while delivering excellent service.

The role requires proven home underwriting experience in an MGA, insurer or Lloyd’s syndicate, strong broker relationships and a proactive trading mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in home underwriting within MGA, insurance company or Lloyd’s syndicate.
• Strong broker relationship skills and numerical, analytical and planning ability.
• Cert CII qualification or similar; willingness to continue studying.

Working closely with brokers and internal colleagues, you will underwrite existing and renewal business within agreed authority levels, helping to maximise conversion, retention and income while delivering excellent service at all times.

About you:

You will have a proven track record in home underwriting within an MGA, insurance company or Lloyd’s syndicate, strong broker relationship skills, and excellent numerical, analytical and planning ability. You should be at least Cert CII qualified, with the desire to continue studying.
