We have an opportunity for a Trading Underwriter to join our great team on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
The purpose of this role is to review and underwrite existing business cases for negotiation and supporting allocated cases to achieve business development and retention targets. You will spend the majority of your time applying a range of underwriting, sales and customer management approaches and techniques to effectively acquire and renew profitable business.
You will use your relationship management and your communication skills to work closely with other elements of the trading team to deliver brilliant service. You will be respected internally and externally for your underwriting knowledge and excellent technical skills.
About You
You will have insurance experience and currently be working in a similar role. Good experience in Commercial Combined, Property, Liability products would be beneficial.
You will be used to managing customer expectations whilst proactively identifying and pursuing up-selling and cross-selling opportunities at the same time as ensuring delivery of brilliant service.
Experience of working directly with customers and in the customer environment. Excellent external networks and relations with customers and intermediaries.
