Job summary

Cambridgeshire Trading Standards is seeking an experienced Business Compliance Manager to lead a team of ten officers and shape priorities across Food Standards, Licensing, Product Safety and more.

The role focuses on delivering effective regulatory interventions, working with businesses and residents to ensure compliance, and maintaining a flexible hybrid working pattern with home, field and office locations. Interviews are planned for November.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and experience in at least two areas of Trading Standards enforcement.
• Strong grasp of the law of evidence to ensure investigations are conducted lawfully, robustly and fairly.
• Experience using a wide range of regulatory and enforcement tools to secure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of officers delivering statutory Trading Standards functions across multiple areas.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the team and oversee investigations and enforcement actions.
• Collaborate with partners at local, regional and national levels to address emerging issues and challenges.
• Represent the service in liaising with councillors, partner organisations, businesses and the public.
