Are you passionate about making a difference in the education sector? Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join West Berkshire Council as a Trading Pupil Transport and Planning Officer.

In this role, you will report to the School Admission and Transport Manager and play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of pupil transport and planning services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring the trading of pupil transport services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of transport policies and procedures
  • Providing advice and support to schools, parents, and other stakeholders on transport and planning matters
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality services

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A good understanding of the education sector and relevant legislation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
