Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Trading Manager in Inverness to lead a fast-moving store team and drive availability, promotions and customer satisfaction. You will oversee shift coverage, training and cross-department collaboration to ensure high standards and safe, compliant trading across all aisles.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will build a capable, proactive team, plan promotions, monitor performance, and work with other departments to maintain excellent service and store standards in a busy

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to managing store-wide trading routines. You'll lead your team to deliver market-leading product availability, run smooth promotional events, and ensure every aisle is safe, legal, and ready for trade.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Lead your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences, planning promotions and acting on customer feedback to keep standards high.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to work flexibly across departments.
• Drive performance and availability: Lead a supportive, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
