Job summary

Morrisons is looking for a Trading Manager to join our store leadership team, driving trading routines and ensuring market-leading product availability. You will lead promotions, monitor customer feedback, and ensure the store operates safely and in line with trading standards.

You’ll manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues can work flexibly across departments, while guiding performance to meet sales targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong focus on customer service and stock availability.
• Ability to plan promotions and respond to feedback.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance in store operations.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to managing store-wide trading routines. You'll lead your team to deliver market-leading product availability, run smooth promotional events, and ensure every aisle is safe, legal, and ready for trade.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Lead your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences, planning promotions and acting on customer feedback to keep standards high.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to work flexibly across departments.
• Drive performance and availability: Lead a supportive, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
