Job summary

Morrisons is recruiting a Trading Manager to drive store-wide trading routines and frontline leadership. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will lead a team to ensure product availability, execute promotions, and maintain safe, compliant store operations.

You will put customers first, manage shift rotas and develop staff while driving performance against operational targets. This role is based in the UK, with a focus on delivering a high standard of service across departments.

Making sure our shelves are fully stocked is key to a fantastic shopping experience, which is why our Trading Managers are so vital to our success.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to managing store-wide trading routines. You'll lead your team to deliver market-leading product availability, run smooth promotional events, and ensure every aisle is safe, legal, and ready for trade.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Lead your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences, planning promotions and acting on customer feedback to keep standards high.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to work flexibly across departments.
• Drive performance and availability: Lead a supportive, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
