Job summary

Morrisons in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Trading Manager to keep shelves fully stocked and deliver a superb shopping experience. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll lead a hands‑on team to achieve great product availability, run promotions and ensure every aisle is safe and compliant for trade.

You’ll manage shift rotas, attendance and development, delivering training so colleagues can work flexibly across departments.

Making sure our shelves are fully stocked is key to a fantastic shopping experience, which is why our Trading Managers are so vital to our success.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to managing store-wide trading routines. You'll lead your team to deliver market-leading product availability, run smooth promotional events, and ensure every aisle is safe, legal, and ready for trade.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to work flexibly across departments.
• Drive performance and availability: Lead a supportive, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
