Job summary

Margo is seeking a Rapid Application Developer to join its London teams on a hybrid permanent contract. This role focuses on rapid delivery on the trading desk and requires strong Java and JavaScript skills.

You will work closely with traders and quants to translate business needs into technical solutions, develop trading framework software, and provide front-office support. Fresh graduates with internships are welcome in a fast-paced finance environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript for rapid delivery.
• Experience with Windows infrastructure.
• Scripting in Python or similar for automation.
• Academic projects in Java during studies.
• Exposure to Rust or Go is a potential advantage.

Responsibilities

• Rapid development for quick turn-around of high-profile projects on the trading floor.
• Build and enhance trading framework software and algorithmic tools with traders and quants.
• Work trader-facing to translate business needs into quick technical solutions.
• Provide L2/L3 front-office support for the platform and tools.
• Report and track performance indicators for front-office trading, back-testing and data systems.
• Monitor data fetching processes and health; contribute to data stores and APIs.
