Job summary

Margoconsulting is seeking a Rapid Application Developer – IT Quant to join its teams for work within a worldwide corporate and investment bank. The role focuses on building rapid, high-impact financial software and data pipelines.

You will interact with traders, quants and business managers in a front-office setting, applying fast development cycles to deliver robust trading infrastructure and data management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++, Java or Python with solid understanding of ecosystems.
• Experience with SQL databases and VBA is desirable.
• Familiarity with Git and Unix Shell tooling.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data management and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Use rapid application development techniques for quick turn‑around of high‑profile projects.
• Build trading framework software with traders and quants.
• Support and enhance various infrastructure applications and data tools.
• Report and track performance indicators for front office traders and data systems.
• Design and implement data stores and APIs.
• Monitor data fetching processes and data health.
• Integrate alternative datasets.

Margo is seeking a Rapid Application Developer – IT Quant to integrate its teams within a worldwide corporate and investment bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Use rapid application development techniques for quick turn‑around of high‑profile projects
• Build the trading framework software, through close interaction with traders and quants
• Support and enhance various ad‑hoc infrastructure applications, processes, databases, production surveillance and control tools
• Report and track performance indicators for the front office traders with many aspects of electronic and algorithmic trading, back testing, and data management systems
• Contribute to design and implement data store and its API
• Monitor fetching processes and data health
• Integrate alternative datasets

Skills required

• Strong skills in C++ or Java or Python development (depending on the team/project) with good understanding of their ecosystem

• Proactive and flexible approach to deal with challenges, lean complex quantitative concepts and identify emerging and alternative data

• Ability to work independently within a global team and deliver when under pressure and time constraints
