Job summary

Sainsbury's Badger Farm Store in Winchester is seeking a Trading Assistant for a part‑time, fixed‑term assignment. You will stock shelves, check product dates, and assist customers with queries during a busy, customer‑facing shift. The role includes night work and flexibility to support store needs.

You will learn store processes, get training across departments, and be part of a team dedicated to delivering great value and service to local customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or over due to hours and handling goods such as alcohol.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Able to work night shifts and flexible across store roles.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages to replenish shelves.
• Serve customers and answer questions, offering help as needed.
• Date check fresh produce and grocery items.
• Support across store and assist with deliveries as required.
• Build product knowledge to provide recommendations.

Eligibility:

• The minimum application age for this role is 18, due to the working hours and type of goods (alcohol, etc) that you may be required to handle.
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping our shelves clean, tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
