Job summary

Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is looking for a Trading Assistant to help stock shelves, assist customers and keep our store bright and well-presented. You’ll collect stock from the warehouse, check dates on fresh produce and groceries, and support deliveries as needed.

The role requires a flexible approach, ability to work nights on occasion, and a friendly, proactive attitude. You’ll learn about products, promotions and store operations through on‑the‑job training and development

Eligibility:

• The minimum application age for this role is 18, due to the working hours and type of goods (alcohol, etc) that you may be required to handle.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping our shelves clean, tidy and full of well‑presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
