Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Trading Assistant to help stock shelves, assist customers, and ensure fresh products are dated correctly in a busy store. You’ll support deliveries and learn about promotions while delivering a high standard of service.

Work includes overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment. You’ll gain product knowledge and enjoy a benefits package with premium night shifts, staff discounts, free food and drinks, and generous holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages up to 15kg to restock shelves.
• Always ready to assist customers and answer questions during store hours.
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products.
• Assist across the store and support deliveries when required.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to make recommendations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping our shelves clean, tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
