Job summary

Sainsbury’s in Leeds is seeking a Trading Assistant to help run a fast-paced store and deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll work to keep shelves well presented, replenish stock, and support with deliveries as required.

You’ll learn about products, promotions and store systems, enabling you to provide helpful recommendations and a great shopping experience for every customer. This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment and can work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old due to hours and handling duties.
• Right to Work in the UK required.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse to replenish store shelves and keep displays tidy.
• Always ready to assist customers and answer questions during store hours.
• Date check fresh produce and grocery products to ensure quality.
• Support across the store and with deliveries as needed.

Job description

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping our shelves clean, tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
