Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Trading Assistant to ensure shelves are well-stocked and appealing while delivering exceptional customer service. You will help customers, learn products and promotions, and support store operations.

Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced store environment, are team players, and take ownership of tasks. Flexibility is expected, with full training across various store duties.

• Check dates on fresh produce and groceries.
• Assist across store and support deliveries as needed.

Job description

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish items across the store, keeping our shelves tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required

Eligibility:

• You must be above the school-leaver age in your country School leaving age - GOV.UK
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age
