Job description

The role:

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Tradesperson - Electrical, maintain, install, commission, test, and ensure statutory compliance of electrical equipment in health facilities.
  • Design, implement, and review programmed maintenance schedules in consultation with supervisory staff.
  • Assist other staff with daily operations within the Facilities Management and Engineering Services department, providing technical advice, feedback reports, and covering supervisory roles as needed.
  • Liaise with agency employees, government bodies, and organizations to minimize disruption during work activities.

You will need:

  • Proven experience and extensive knowledge in electrical trade skills relevant to a hospital environment, including modification, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of electrical devices and controls.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines, and make responsible recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with staff at all levels and work collaboratively within a team.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full-time position, 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible.

  • The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for twelve months from the date of publication.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

Salary Packaging:

Eligible for salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment annually, plus other benefits.
