Our client, a boutique asset manager based in London with a headcount of 50 and $15bn AUM, is looking for a Trader to join their team. This person will be responsible for executing equity and FX trades and performing deep execution analysis for the firm’s Global Equities strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Execute Equity and FX trades, performing technical analysis of best execution
• Stay up to date with regulation, technical and market trends and changes
• Work with technology providers to implement new solutions, analyse and help to evolve the trading process
• Generate, manipulate and visualise large datasets
• Produce TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
• Communicate with the investment, research teams and CIO
• Keep up to date with, understand and disseminate relevant market and stock news
• Understand portfolio and strategy restrictions and cash positions
• Present the trading process to clients and consultants

Key requirements:

• Understanding of and experience with global equity markets, US and Europe preferred
• 4+ years of experience in an equity trading role
• Deep understanding of trading algorithms and TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to interpret, manipulate and interrogate large amounts of data
• Experience with database query languages (e.g. SQL) and dashboarding software (e.g. PowerBI)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• A team player mentality with strong sense of motivation and integrity
