Job summary

As a Trade & Working Capital Sales Head - Payments - Executive Director in the Trade & Working Capital division of J.P. Morgan Payments, you will be responsible for promoting profitable growth of the UK Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT), Diversified Industrials (DI), eCommerce, Fintech, Innovation Economy, Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI), and Public Sector (PS) portfolios. You will provide structured & core trade solutions to J.P. Morgan's large & mid-cap clients to meet their local, outbound, and inbound requirements.

Job responsibilities

  1. Own the TWC P&L across products and lead the Sales team to achieve new business goals, including the annual sales plan at target margins by identifying prospects, developing calling plans, and engaging partners to influence decision makers.
  2. Originate and structure new opportunities with clients across core and structured trade solutions, including Supply Chain Finance, Dynamic Discounting, Sales Finance, and Inventory Finance, with deals exceeding $5 million annually.
  3. Collaborate with Payments functions and coverage bankers to promote the execution of sales strategies, expand market share, and increase wallet share with targeted clients.
  4. Develop compelling financial and working capital analyses to formulate proposals for new business opportunities.
  5. Drive strategic account planning for targeted clients, focusing on credit capital use and balancing client needs with firm-wide priorities.
  6. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and evolve complex products and solutions for clients.
  7. Manage the entire sales process, including onboarding and implementation of new local clients.
  8. Address business issues related to risk, legal, and compliance, coordinating with regulators for client agendas and audits.
  9. Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the firm and externally at industry forums and events.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Proven senior sales management experience with a successful track record in Trade, Transaction Banking, and managing complex client relationships and teams.
  2. Extensive knowledge of large corporate clients, including MNCs and mid-cap companies.
  3. Deep understanding of trade and banking products, solutions, and regulatory guidelines, with a history of success.
  4. Ability to manage client risk dynamics, work with regulators, and internal teams to balance risk and reward.
  5. Established network and experience working with local and multinational corporate clients.
  6. Proven effectiveness in matrix organizations, working under pressure and tight deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  8. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, especially in client-facing roles.
  9. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
