Our industry-leading investment banking client is looking for a Trade Validation Transformation SVP to join our FICC Derivatives desk.
Purpose, scope, and responsibilities:
The role is part of the Trade Validation department, reporting directly to the Global Head of FICC Derivatives Trade Validation. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the strategy and objectives of the Value Chains, ensuring strong governance and management of production, improvement initiatives, and key projects globally.
- Implement weekly governance reviews of global KPI/KRI across all FICC products (Rates, Credit, FX, Commodities) with managers/SMEs. Analyze and prepare materials for review, summarizing key risks and performance with the Global Head.
- Ensure data in reports and dashboards is accurate; review quality issues with Technology or BAU MO teams as relevant.
- Contribute to developing automated KPI/KRI dashboards in PowerBI.
- Implement global governance for Power across all operations users and FICC Derivatives topics on other systems.
- Implement governance for Technology BOW items across all operations users and FICC Derivatives topics on other systems. Prepare review information, summarizing key JIRA or arbitration issues with the Global Head.
- Review and record all operational incidents within FICC Derivatives scope, ensuring consistent and accurate write-ups and action plans. Own governance to ensure incidents are reviewed with global teams, and actions and risks are addressed.
- Coordinate global SMEs to track and share project updates and BOW items with the wider community.
- Promote teamwork, a dynamic attitude, and effective collaboration within the team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Typically requires a university degree; relevant Master’s degree is desirable. Equivalent business experience in a top-tier investment bank or similar is acceptable.
- Expertise in one or more FICC products, trade support processes, systems, and workflows, with knowledge of other asset classes.
- Experience in implementing production and change governance frameworks and reporting to senior management.
- Operational experience and understanding of operational risk and control frameworks.
- Effective time management and workload prioritization skills, with the ability to escalate issues.
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation related to operational risk and controls.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and advise others.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks independently, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in standard computer software and ability to learn specialized applications.
