We are now looking for a Trade Surveillance & Risk Analyst to join our growing Risk and Compliance team in London. This role requires vigilance, analytical skills, and regulatory expertise to support market integrity and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Monitor Markets in Real-Time: Conduct daily trade surveillance across derivatives and other asset classes to detect market abuse, insider trading, or irregularities.
2. Investigate Alerts: Analyze trading data and system alerts, identify patterns, and correlate with news and market movements.
3. Report & Escalate: Prepare detailed investigation reports and escalate STORs to the MLRO or internal committees as needed.
4. Support Compliance & Risk: Collaborate with teams to ensure regulatory compliance and refine surveillance procedures.
5. Enhance Systems: Work with IT to optimize surveillance tools through testing and feedback.
6. Provide Market Insight: Stay updated on regulatory developments and market trends, providing actionable intelligence.
7. Training & Education: Assist in training stakeholders on surveillance systems and regulations.
8. Best Execution Oversight: Monitor and manage alerts to ensure best execution across the firm.
9. Research & Advisory: Support leadership with research on legislative and regulatory changes.
10. Project Collaboration: Participate in internal projects, contributing a risk and compliance perspective.

What You Bring

• 4-5 years' experience in surveillance, risk, or compliance at an FCA-regulated firm.
• Knowledge of MAR, MiFID II, SYSC, and related regulations.
• Understanding of financial crime disciplines: AML, Sanctions, ABC, Fraud, JMLSG guidance.
• Experience with trade surveillance tools, Excel, SQL, and ideally Bloomberg or Refinitiv.
• Data-driven investigative mindset and high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for translating complex data into clear findings.

Your Background

• Background in Compliance, Risk, or Audit preferred.
• Relevant education or certifications are a plus.
