We’re looking for a Trade Skilled Operative – Plasterer to join our Property Services team at Freebridge Community Housing.
As a Trade Skilled Operative – Plasterer at Freebridge Community Housing, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and building tasks aligned with your specific trade expertise. Working as an integral part of the Property Services team, you will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of the service across various projects.
You’ll work both independently and alongside colleagues to complete plastering and general maintenance tasks, helping ensure our properties are well cared for and meet resident expectations.

What you’ll be doing:
Deliver Quality Trade Work: Carry out plastering and general maintenance tasks to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with Freebridge guidelines.
Apply Trade Expertise: Use your skills and experience to diagnose and resolve issues independently, making informed decisions on-site.
Communicate Effectively: Keep colleagues and residents informed about work progress and timelines.
Manage Maintenance Process: Handle all stages of maintenance—from inspection and planning to completion and documentation—ensuring timely and accurate records.
Collaborate with Teams: Work independently or with others across Property Services to deliver efficient and effective maintenance services.
Maintain Equipment: Inspect and care for tools, vehicles, PPE, and other equipment, ensuring safety and readiness.
Handle Materials Responsibly: Order, store, and use materials efficiently, minimizing waste and maintaining accurate records.
Support Business Needs: Take on additional duties as required to meet operational goals.

What we’re looking for:
• City & Guilds (or other recognised awarding body) trade qualification in trade skill.
• 3 yrs. experience of trade in a maintenance environment
• Experience of and current training in health & safety and ladders
• Specific qualifications as required by trade
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Commitment to working safely
• Commitment to efficiency and value for money
• Requirement to be on the out of hours rota, to be on call and to attend works out of hours, at weekends and on public holidays
• Must have a full UK driving licence for the class of vehicle that is required to fulfil the job role.
• Requirement to undertake and maintain training and certification as required by the role and Freebridge
• Requirement to attend meetings occasionally out of core working hours.
