About the team:

You’ll be joining a newly formed team at a pivotal point in our growth journey, an exciting chance to shape the future of our trade sales function from the ground up. Reporting directly to our Revenue Director, you’ll be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of our stock through strategic trade partnerships. This function is being built with purpose, bringing pace, structure and commercial clarity to how we manage, price and sell our products to trade customers.

About the role:

As Trade Sales & Merchandising Manager, you’ll be the bridge between our stock and our trade partners. You’ll be responsible for the day to day management of growth of our trade sales activity, ensuring the right products are available to the right buyers, at the right time. Whether it’s overseeing inventory levels, maintaining pricing, or managing deliveries and relationships, you’ll bring rigour, pace and commercial focus to help us grow sustainably and profitably.

  • Understand our product categories, current trade customers and internal stock processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with Revenue, Production, QA and Finance teams.
  • Get to grips with our systems and be instrumental in creating processes and systems for inventory, invoicing and trade sales tracking.
  • Take ownership of all trade sales activities, with clear structure and cadence.
  • Streamline stock allocation and availability, ensuring it’s aligned to trade demand.
  • Act as the go to contact for trade customers, providing responsive, proactive service and support.
Driving Excellence…
  • Grow revenue and profitability through smart stock and pricing strategies.
  • Identify new trade opportunities and areas for sales expansion.
  • Provide actionable insights through data analysis and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive growth in trade sales through strong account management and new customer acquisition.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and product allocation to meet trade partner demand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, ensuring smooth sales and repeat business.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all trade enquiries, orders, pricing, logistics and invoicing.
  • Monitor stock levels and work with production/ QA teams to ensure product readiness.
  • Oversee trade pricing, keep it competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Manage logistics, coordinating collections and deliveries in a timely, cost effective manner.
  • Track and report on trade performance, flagging trends, risks and opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in trade sales, merchandising, B2B account management or a similar role.
  • Strong stock and inventory management knowledge.
  • Commercial mindset with a keen eye for pricing and margin.
  • Great communication and negotiation skills, with confidence in liaising with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple moving parts.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting and analysis to guide decision-making.
  • System savvy, experienced with CRMs, stock management tools, Google Sheets, Excel and Sage is a plus.
  • A can do attitude, with energy, resilience and drive to make things happen and improve.
