Job summary

Sigma 3 Kitchens in Wales is seeking a Kitchen Designer (Trade) to deliver exceptional customer experiences through innovative and functional designs. You will build relationships with builders and tradespeople, tailor solutions to meet project goals, and manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to installation.

The role combines design excellence with practical installation coordination, site visits, and active promotion of our products and services.

Qualifications

  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven track record of new account generation.
  • Understanding of the Trade and Retail Sector.
  • Strong IT skills; CAD design experience beneficial.
  • Highly organised with careful documentation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings and some Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with builders and tradespeople to drive referrals.
  • Manage end-to-end sales process from lead generation to installation.
  • Order and oversee delivery of kitchens, surfaces and replacements; coordinate templates and installations.
  • Visit sites to gather measurements and address queries.
  • Capture project content for social media and client references.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and gross margins at intake.
  • Master IT systems used for design and showroom operations.
  • Generate business via social media and local community presence.

Job purpose

The role of Kitchen Designer (Trade) is essential in delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative and functional designs. It requires a blend of creativity and technical expertise, along with the ability to foster strong relationships with clients. To succeed, individuals will develop an in-depth understanding of product ranges and design systems, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product range, including furniture, appliances, worksurfaces, and accessories.
  • Proactively build a customer base of builders and tradespeople, nurturing relationships to drive referrals and recommendations to Sigma 3 Trade.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local builders, architects, and end customers, ensuring excellent service from start to finish to encourage future recommendations.
  • Collaborate with builders and customers to tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements, supporting them in achieving their project goals.
  • Increase brand awareness and generate leads by implementing the business plan, leveraging social media, and enhancing our reputation.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities and drive growth through our Referral and Reward Partner programs.
  • Conduct home visits to gather technical information and measurements.
  • Manage the complete sales process, from lead generation to installation, serving as the single point of contact for builders throughout the project.
  • Order and oversee the delivery of kitchens, solid surfaces, and replacement items, coordinating with builders/clients on scheduling for templates and installations.
  • Conduct site visits, address site queries, and ensure all aspects of the project run smoothly.
  • Visit completed projects to capture content for social media and encourage client recommendations.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets, conversion rates, and Gross Margins at Intake.
  • Master relevant IT systems to facilitate design and showroom operations.
  • Generate business through social media platforms and by maintaining an active presence in local communities.
  • Ensure high service standards by staying in touch with customers from the initial meeting through to project completion.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven track record of achieving new account generation, sales & profits targets.
  • An understanding of the Trade and Retail Sector
  • Strong IT skill’s: experience in CAD design is beneficial but not required, as full training will be provided.
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach to documentation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to understand customer needs.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and some Bank Holidays to meet customer needs.
