Job description

We're looking for an experienced Trade Planning Manager on a Part-time basis to join our team.

You'll be responsible for developing plans based on customer and product insights to deliver a winning proposition for our Customers and Tesco.

This role involves developing a plan based on customer and product insights to deliver a winning proposition for our Customers and Tesco.

- Building a winning trade plan that significantly improves our performance year on year and against competitors, increasing sales value and market share.

- Influencing stakeholders at all levels to meet critical deadlines and provide briefs for space and customer proposition requirements.

- Understanding performance drivers through analytics and collaboration with relevant functions (e.g., dunnhumby, finance, insight) to build the Trade Space plan.

- Applying insights and customer understanding to the Events programme to support space optimization, sales, and customer perception.

- Prioritizing propositions, promotions, and offers based on customer needs and calendar themes.

- Continuously reviewing and improving promotional offerings, optimizing feature space to drive sales.

- Ensuring all promotions on feature space are effective and generate incremental sales.

- Developing relationships with Retail, Product, Customer, SRM, and Strategy & Trade teams.

- Becoming an expert on competitors' Promotions and Events across all channels.

- Anticipating competitor activity to proactively build plans that ensure we 'win the week.'

- Range development, trade planning, merchandise planning or buying, and critical path management.

- Demonstrating a proven track record of making decisions based on market data.

- Possessing strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

- Exhibiting strong influencing and communication skills.
