Our client, a large franchise-approved car dealer group with multiple sites across the South West and West Midlands region, requires a Vehicle Trade Parts Advisor to join their busy franchise-approved car dealership in Cheltenham.

Reporting to the Regional Parts Manager and working alongside a large team predominantly in our client's Trade Parts Department, you will be the first point of contact for all retail and trade vehicle parts enquiries, ensuring that all customers, both face-to-face and over the phone, are promptly dealt with.

Responsibilities as a Trade Parts Advisor will include:
  • Responding to customer queries and concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Escalating customer issues with management when the need arises.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures when interacting with customers.
  • Following up on customer calls to ensure that customers are satisfied.
  • Staying up to date with products, services, and policies by attending training sessions.
  • Ensuring that you accurately comprehend customer requests and issues by confirming and clarifying information.
  • Upselling products and services where possible and actively working towards reaching sales targets.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records in our customer relationship management (CRM) system and completing call logs and reports.
  • Vehicle parts lookup and pre-pick customer orders.

To be eligible, you will need to hold recent or current vehicle parts experience, ideally working within a similar franchise-approved automotive dealership; however, our client is also very interested in candidates from a vehicle accident repair or motor factor background. You will also need to be IT literate, given you will work daily with an electronic parts catalogue system, and have strong customer service/sales skills in a friendly and charismatic manner. Any experience with the Kerridge/ADP dealer management system would be highly advantageous, but is non-essential.
