Job description

Trade Operative - Joiner

Salary: £36,353 - £38,267 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Operative – Joiner to join our void team based in Aberdeen. You will work on properties across the region, including both new and old stock, with skills in disciplines such as joinery, plastering, plumbing, tiling, and painting. Working as part of a six-person team, you will bring voids to a re-lettable standard. The role involves occasional lone working and opportunities to collaborate with the wider team. A company van and tools are provided, and the role covers sites across the area.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform various joinery repairs, from replacing doors to lifting and replacing floors, fitting kitchen units, and installing doors and windows.
  2. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and restock as needed.
  3. Respond positively to complaints and service breakdowns, resolving issues or initiating solutions, and keep customers informed.
  4. Provide accurate and timely updates on work progress in an understandable manner.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in a relevant core subject, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  2. Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  3. Excellent communication and customer care skills.
  4. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  5. Valid UK driving license, as the role involves driving a company vehicle.

Candidates will need to bring original certification to the interview as copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
