Castleton Commodities International (CCI) is seeking a Trade Operations Analyst to join our Exchange Clearing Operations team in London. This role is vital for maintaining effective control and smooth operations within Global Merchant Operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with commercial teams and support departments such as Scheduling, Market Risk, Product Control, and Compliance. The position emphasizes process enhancement and supporting strategic and tactical technology initiatives, offering exposure to energy commodity trading in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include clearing, reconciliation, trade capture, and managing the trade lifecycle, with a focus on Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) involving Oil, Natural Gas, and Power. This provides a unique opportunity to engage with these vital energy markets.

Responsibilities:

• Validate CCI’s exchange positions daily across exchanges, mainly in oil, gas, and power.
• Manage futures and options expiration activities and physical delivery.
• Handle collateral management, including settlement of margin calls, margin analysis, optimization, and stress testing.
• Process, reconcile, and settle transaction costs, including brokerage, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Verify trading book entries against ICE, CME, etc.
• Partner with Traders, Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and other departments to onboard new trading desks and platforms.
• Report options and futures expiries to trading desks and Middle Office.
• Support traders with market access, trade execution, and operational processes.
• Coordinate with exchanges and brokers on product enablement and compliance.
• Monitor and report on trading activities and performance metrics.
• Support physical delivery of futures and options, ensuring regulatory and operational compliance.
• Manage and report exchange-related costs and fees, seeking improvements and cost savings.
• Engage with external vendors to enhance trade execution platforms like Trayport and resolve operational issues.
• Participate in projects related to new business, system improvements, change management, and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in commodity trading, especially in exchange traded derivatives.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong problem-solving and numerical skills; adept at interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Technical skills preferred: Python, SQL, VBA.
• High ownership and accountability.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
