Join Our Marketing Team: Exciting New Role – Trade Marketing Planning Executive at Heron Foods Store Support Centre in Melton (HU14 3HJ)

Are you an organised, commercially minded marketing professional looking to make your mark in a fast-paced retail business? Heron Foods is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity to join our Marketing team as a Trade Marketing Planning Executive. This is your chance to help shape and drive the planning and execution of trade marketing activity across more than 340 stores nationwide.

In this a new role, you’ll work closely with teams across the business—from Buying, Planning and Merchandising to Digital and Store Operations—to build, manage, and execute a clear trade plan that supports our commercial objectives. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that promotional campaigns and in-store activity land effectively, on time, and with maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a detailed 12 month trade marketing plan aligned to commercial and seasonal events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all promotional activity is fully aligned and delivered on time.
  • Work closely with Buying, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure effective execution of all trade marketing campaigns.
  • Provide clear customer moments for the wider marketing team with clear briefing of documents and timelines
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, identifying opportunities to optimise future activity.
  • Assist in planning store-level POS (point of sale) and merchandising materials in line with key trading periods.
  • Play a central role in aligning the trade plan with our brand voice and customer expectations.
  • Manage the print process of the POS with wider marketing team.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Either a background or awareness of marketing, trade planning or a commercial coordination role; ideally within FMCG.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to liaise across all business levels.
  • Confidence using Excel and planning tools to track activity and performance.
  • A genuine interest in retail, marketing, and customer behaviour.
