Sales

About the role

You will be at the forefront of strategic execution and product delivery within a FTSE 10 company and one of the UK’s top three TV advertisers, with results that consistently outperform competitors.

Our brands are either number 1 or 2 in their primary markets, collaborating with key retailers like Tesco, Boots, Asda, and Sainsbury’s. You will be part of the most successful market innovator in the sector, with 30% of sales over three years driven by new products. Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze consumer and channel/customer insights through research to develop category strategies for customer implementation.
  • Transfer knowledge of global and local category best practices to sales teams and share local successes globally.
  • Develop channel strategies for optimal product assortment and placement, utilizing store shelf space efficiently, satisfying consumer needs, and reducing stock-outs.
  • Recommend effective pricing and promotion strategies based on category success models.
  • Lead annual category 4Ps planning, translating business objectives into actionable plans for sales execution, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Support market entry and execution of new product development, tracking and analyzing 4Ps in-market.
  • Present market, consumer, and category trends to key customers and analyze competitors’ strategies.
  • Utilize various data sources to understand market dynamics, competition, customer, and brand strategies.
  • Develop trade spend guidelines, allocate top-line budgets, and review field trade spend.
  • Assist in developing national and local account-specific promotional programs and key events.
  • Contribute to demand planning for products.
Experience
  • Degree-level education with a background in Sales or Trade Marketing, with strong FMCG category management experience.
  • Proven commercial acumen and understanding of the customer management process.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop straightforward plans.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels, with a drive to succeed.
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, Spectra, Panel Data) and advanced Excel and tech skills.
