Trade Finance Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 2-3 days on site)

Contract duration: Until March

Salary: 200 PAYE/day

About the Role

We are seeking a Trade Finance Analyst who is detail-oriented and risk-conscious. You will manage and execute operational processes across trade finance products such as Letters of Credit, Supply Chain Finance, and Guarantees.

This role involves supporting global trade by helping importers and exporters manage risk, maintain liquidity, ensure compliance, and identify potential financial crime.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Administer trade finance products, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve queries and provide support.
  • Identify and escalate red flags related to financial crime risk.
  • Apply EMEA-wide processes for consistent delivery.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning and operational recovery.
  • Engage in internal improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen).
  • Prepare data and assist in operational performance reporting.
What You Bring
  • Deep understanding of trade finance products: Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Discounted Receivables, etc.
  • Knowledge of international trade law, maritime law, and shipping/commercial terms.
  • Familiarity with sanctions regimes and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to detect operational and financial crime risks.
  • Understanding of relevant accounting principles.
  • Previous experience in trade finance operations is highly desirable.
Stakeholder Engagement

You will work with legal, product, and compliance teams, and develop relationships with clients, financial institutions, and logistics companies.
