Job description

IMH Recruitment has a great opportunity for our client based in Chesterfield. This role involves covering the Goods In, Trade Counter, and Workshop areas — ideal for a candidate who enjoys staying busy!

The Role:
  1. Operating forklift trucks to load and unload goods on and off wagons.
  2. Storing welding products correctly in Linbins.
  3. Loading and unloading hire plant equipment.
  4. Cleaning and properly storing off-hired equipment.
  5. Loading and unloading BOC bas bottles.
  6. Handling account and trade counter transactions with the general public.
  7. Exchanging BOC gas bottles.
  8. Performing workshop tasks, including in-house training and preparing hire plant welding equipment for testing.
  9. Assembling new welding machines.
  10. Using power tools to prepare machinery for repair and refurbishment.
  11. Moving equipment stored in the warehouse using forklift trucks and overhead cranes.
  12. Removing bins and exchanging waste skips and recycling bins.
  13. Carrying out general day-to-day duties, including tidying, sweeping, and maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and around equipment.
About You:
  1. Experience using Microsoft computers.
  2. Willingness to learn Sage accounts software (training provided).
  3. Experience with tools and the ability to wire plugs.
  4. Good understanding of nuts, bolts, and fittings.
  5. Willingness to learn product part numbers and welding consumables.
  6. Experience in the welding industry.
  7. Forklift truck license and overhead crane experience.
  8. Driving license.
Pay & Hours:
  • £18 per hour.
  • Monday to Friday, 07:00 am to 05:00 pm.
  • Saturday, 08:00 am to 12:30 pm.
  • Overtime available.
  • 24 days holiday annually + 5 days at Christmas (total 29) + bank holidays.
