Job description

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Trade Counter Sales candidate to join a busy builders merchant in Surbiton. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a great opportunity to be part of a company that values its staff.

Salary:

£30k per annum (DOE)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, and 1 Saturday on 1 off, 7:00am to 11:30am

Role Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers at the Trade Counter
• Calling lapsed customers and generating new business through cold calls
• Making outbound calls to existing customers, promoting stock and current promotions
• Processing orders and providing quotes
• Handling inbound calls and emails
• Maintaining store stock and tidiness

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous trade counter experience within a builders merchant
• Physically fit
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literate
• Comfortable communicating face-to-face and over the phone
• Strong numeric skills for pricing and material calculations
• Reliable and hardworking
• Located near Kings Langley or able to commute
