Job summary

Eurocell plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant / Driver on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will work 44 hours per week, 7am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a Saturday rota, handling trade counter sales, product knowledge, and deliveries using 3.5 tonne flats.

You will also assist with route planning, safe driving, and maintaining vehicle presentation. Applicants should have a full driving licence and IT skills; experience in trade or builders merchants is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Full and valid driving licence required.
• Experience in trade, builders merchants, or uPVC environments advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and sales focus.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in small teams.
• Confident with IT and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Work with Branch Manager to run day-to-day operations.
• Trade counter sales to meet targets and explain products to customers.
• Provide customer service to new and existing customers.
• Pick, load, and deliver products using 3.5t flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
• Plan routes, ensure safe driving, and keep vehicles clean.
• Support Branch Manager with actions and activities on time, in full.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and company policies.
• Maintain branch standards including stock and front-of-house.

• Position: Trade Counter Assistant / Driver
• Duration: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract
• Hours: 44 per Week - Permanent Role, 7am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 8am - 12pm on a Saturday Rota
• Salary: £29,080.48 basic salary per year
• Bonus/OTE: Realistic total earning potential of up to £32,680.48 per year

What Our Trade Counter Assistants Do

• Work closely with the Branch Manager and Branch Supervisor in day-to-day branch operations
• Responsible for trade counter sales to achieve sales targets, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers
• Picking, loading, and delivering products to customers via Eurocell's 3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
• Route planning, safe driving, and keeping the company vehicle clean
• Supporting the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time, in full
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, company policies, and procedures
• Maintaining excellence in customer service, operational standards, and sales targets
• Supporting sales delivery while developing positive customer relationships
• Assisting with branch operations
• Maintaining branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness, and point of sale

Requirements for Our Trade Counter Assistants

• Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve targets
• A customer-focused approach, confident and proactive in engaging with customers
• A commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins
• Good organizational skills to prioritize and use initiative
• Confident IT skills, experience with MS Office and industry software like SAP
• A full and valid driving license is essential; FLT license could be a plus
• Previous branch stock take experience is advantageous
• Comfortable working in small teams and independently
• Experience in trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing, or uPVC environments is advantageous
