  • Ensure use of existing authorization is maximized.
  • Manage brokers to ensure timely and accurate declarations.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor broker activities for accuracy and liaise to manage risks for Gulfstream.
  • Maintain internal tracking systems and prepare regular reports.
  • Conduct compliance checks on import and export entries.
  • Ensure all import and export entries are obtained and retained.
  • Implement and maintain a system of checks on the accuracy of entries.
  • Make timely corrections as needed.
  • Own HTS codes in Farnborough, perform regular checks, and verify accuracy with suppliers.
  • Seek rulings where required.
  • Manage ECCN and export controls, ensuring correct classification of goods.
  • Keep the current database up to date.
  • Manage license applications and returns.
  • Support the implementation of CBAM in the UK and maintain awareness of its principles.
  • Ensure adequate records for CBAM implementation.
  • Provide general support to the Senior Compliance Officer and assist with AEO applications.
  • Support claims for origin and train teams in Gulfstream.
  • Report on savings and assist with applications for duty reliefs.

Supervision: Supervise Specialists

Shift: Monday through Friday

Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience, with a background in trade compliance.

Position Purpose: Support the Senior Compliance Officer by managing, developing, and integrating daily Trade Compliance activities within Gulfstream, with ownership of compliance at the Farnborough office.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the IPR program, ensuring maximization and compliance.
  2. Conduct compliance checks on all entries and establish a system of verification.
  3. Own HTS codes in the UK, perform regular checks, and address gaps.
  4. Manage ECCN and export controls, collaborating with relevant teams for correct classification.
  5. Support UK implementation of CBAM and provide general support to the Senior Compliance Officer.
  6. Manage two compliance specialists.

Additional Functions: Additional responsibilities as dictated by the specific role.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and operate Gulfstream enterprise systems and third-party software such as SAP, GTS, CAS, Oracle, and others.
  • Thorough understanding of Customs regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
