Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the complex world of Trade Compliance? As our Trade Compliance Manager for the EMEA region, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our organization adheres to governmental laws, international requirements, and regulations.

In this pivotal role, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining the highest standards of customs compliance. You'll continuously improve processes and build positive relationships with EU/EMEA customs authorities. This role can be based in the UK or Ireland and will require a degree of travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:Lead the EMEA trade compliance team and address trade compliance issues.
  • Process Improvement:Implement processes, technology, and automation to enhance consistency and efficiency in trade compliance across EMEA and globally.
  • Training:Prepare and lead training sessions on import/export compliance tailored to various audiences, from upper management to daily operations.
  • Support:Assist the Global Trade Compliance Director with EMEA and APAC projects.
  • Collaboration:Work with Logistics to review incoterms, contracts, insurance policies, and provide guidance.
  • Opportunity Identification:Drive strategic and tactical sourcing decisions, including preferential duty treatment, tariffs, quotas, import/export restrictions, and trade agreements.
  • Audit Program:Maintain an internal audit program to measure compliance with trade requirements.
  • Registrations and Licenses:Oversee company import/export registrations, permits, and licenses across EMEA.
  • Risk Assessment:Regularly assess trade compliance risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in trade compliance, international freight forwarding, trade consulting, or customs brokerage.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in international business, trade, or international logistics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all company levels.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker comfortable with complexity.
  • Expertise in Import and Export Compliance, Customs, Supply Chain, and Trade Business Processes, including Dual-Use regulations (2021/821).
  • Experience in developing and managing Internal Compliance Programs (ICP) in large organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing organization.
  • Deep understanding of technology tools, including trade compliance systems and ERP systems like SAP.
  • Proficiency in multiple European languages.
  • Experience handling trade compliance matters in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Proven leadership capabilities to drive team results.
