Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Placement Student – Trade Compliance Analyst to join the Logistics team for the Corporate/CBS segment in Daventry, Huddersfield, or Darlington. The placement begins Summer 2027 and offers exposure to a major global organization and supply chain analytics.

You will learn to manage duty systems, work with customs brokers, and contribute to cross-business unit projects while developing reporting capabilities for logistics KPIs.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in Business/Logistics/Statistics related area.
• Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI beneficial).
• Previous experience in a supply chain role would be beneficial but is not required; fluent in German or Dutch would be beneficial but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting and tracking of spend and project savings.
• Managing, improving and maintaining duty management systems.
• Working with Customs brokers and suppliers to ensure smooth flow of goods.
• Involvement and support in all Major Cross Business Unit projects; Internal audit.
• Ensuring data integrity of all analytics and reports, development of reporting capabilities for supply chain KPIs.
• Analysis and interpretation of KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
