Trade and Transaction Reporting Product Lead, London

City of London/Hybrid

Contract

cer Financial is working alongside a bank based in the City of London. They are seeking a Trade and Transaction Reporting Product Lead to work with them on a contract basis.

The Trade and Transaction Reporting Product Lead will lead a team of product analysts delivering IT changes related to MiFIR/MiFID II, EMIR/EMIR Refit, and SFTR transaction reporting, as well as pre/post trade transparency requirements.

Ensure TTR Product Analysts are optimally allocated between project and BAU delivery requirements and consult with business, Compliance, and IT (development and QA) on all aspects of transaction reporting within the Capital Markets business to ensure successful delivery of change.

The Responsibilities of a Trade and Transaction Reporting Product Lead Include:
  • Work with business stakeholders to analyze IT solutions in the regulatory trade and transaction reporting function, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and IT staff to ensure success.
  • Understand the implications of each initiative, monitor risks and issues throughout, and escalate timely actions to meet objectives.
  • Proactively identify, specify, and document business requirements from key stakeholders. Lead and facilitate working group discussions and workshops.
  • Perform data analysis using Excel, SQL, and related tools.
  • Design business solutions, produce technical requirement documentation, and analyze vendor solutions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate across functions such as Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, BAU Application Support, Operations, Compliance, and Finance to meet project goals.
  • Create and execute test plans, and ensure approval of delivered solutions.
  • Define documentation, training, and delivery for successful project handover.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience and understanding of derivatives and securities trading, operational, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven experience in Business Analyst roles related to Trade and Transaction Reporting, especially within MiFID II, EMIR, or SFTR projects, within financial organizations or software vendors.
  • Experience with front-to-back office trading systems.
  • Vendor management experience preferred.
  • Understanding and delivery experience in transaction reporting projects or remediation related to financial services.
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes and BAU operations.
  • Strong understanding of EMIR II, SFTR, or MiFID II transaction reporting for securities and derivatives.
  • Graduate degree in Finance or Regulatory discipline preferred.
  • Experience with other financial regulatory projects is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, data management, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and Visio.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SQL; knowledge of programming languages like C#, C++, or VBA is preferred.
