Job summary

The Joseph Gallagher Group is seeking several Tractor Drivers to join our team in a role based on busy construction sites across the Bourne area and surrounding locations. You will operate tractors with attachments, handle materials, and support ground crews while following health and safety protocols.

Candidates must hold a CPCS card (A33 Agricultural Tractor), have a clean driving license with HGV Class 1, and bring prior construction or civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card (A33 Agricultural Tractor).
• Clean driving license and HGV Class 1.
• Experience in a construction or civil engineering environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating articulated or standard tractors with attachments on construction sites or industrial areas.
• Transporting construction materials and debris.
• Carrying out site maintenance and pre-shift safety checks.

We are currently recruiting for several Tractor Drivers to join our team.

• Machine Operation: Safely operating articulated or standard tractors with attachments (e.g., fuel/water bowsers, trailers, spreaders) on busy construction sites or industrial areas.
• Material Handling: Transporting construction materials, rubble, or slurry, often under HGV regulations.
• Site Maintenance: Supporting ground crews, performing grading, or spreading materials with rear-mounted equipment.
• Daily Checks & Maintenance: Conducting pre-shift safety checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance of tractors and attachments, reporting any defects to supervisors.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to site health and safety protocols, including wearing PPE, monitoring ground conditions, and ensuring safe speed limits.

The successful candidate, must have:

• valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card (A33 Agricultural Tractor).
• Clean driving license and HGV Class 1
• Experience in a construction or civil engineering environment is typically preferred over purely agricultural experience
