Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited is seeking Tractor Drivers to join our on-site team in Redcar. You will safely operate articulated or standard tractors with attachments on busy construction sites, transport materials, and support ground crews with grading and material spreading.

Daily safety checks and maintenance are required to keep equipment in good condition. The role requires adherence to health and safety protocols, PPE usage, and compliance with on-site speed limits.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely operating articulated or standard tractors with attachments (e.g., fuel/water bowsers, trailers, spreaders) on busy construction sites or industrial areas.
• Material Handling: Transporting construction materials, rubble, or slurry, often under HGV regulations.
• Site Maintenance: Supporting ground crews, performing grading, or spreading materials with rear-mounted equipment.
• Daily Checks & Maintenance: Conducting pre-shift safety checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance of tractors and attachments, reporting any defects to supervisors.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to site health and safety protocols, including wearing PPE, monitoring ground conditions, and ensuring safe speed limits.
