Job Title: Tractor Driver and Sprayer Operator

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire

Pay: £14.00 – £17.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday with weekend availability (required to work either Saturday or Sunday)

We specialise in growing high-quality berries—predominantly strawberries—and are committed to sustainable, responsible farming. We are looking for a skilled Tractor Driver and Sprayer Operator to join our busy and dynamic farm operations team. This hands-on role involves working across a wide range of machinery operations, crop care, and structural tasks essential to successful fruit production.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of agricultural machinery, including:

• Harvesters

• 360° excavators (up to 10 tonnes)

• Apply crop protection products (pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers) across soft fruit and combinable crops

• Perform machinery maintenance and repairs to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime

• Assist with cultivation and harvesting, including:

• Ploughing

• Load and transport materials using lifting equipment

• Build, maintain, and dismantle Spanish tunnels and galvanised steel structures for fruit production

• Support general farm operations and infrastructure tasks

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with tractors, HGVs, or similar machinery

• Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)

• Physically fit (must be able to lift up to 40kg)

• Strong mechanical awareness and problem-solving ability

• Reliable and punctual with good time-management skills

• Team player with effective communication skills

• Comfortable working in all weather conditions

• Basic computer skills (for recording spray applications)

Desirable (but not essential)

• Forklift or Telehandler licence

• Loadall or ATV licence

• Previous experience in soft fruit production or irrigation systems
